Right Track, a non-profit organization has been working for children, women and youth of the most distressed background-the slum and street dwellers, facing many diverse natures of vulnerabilities, illiteracy, ill health, disability, insecurity of food and other human rights for the last 32 years. The organization is dedicated to socio-economic transformation of the weaker and socially underprivileged section of the society through physical, social, cultural, and economic development. The organization also works for empowerment through awareness-generation and mass-sensitization. We assiduously work for the inalienable rights of people towards a healthy life, development, protection, and participation. Our objective is to work for a healthy and free-spirited survival of people, especially the ones from deplorable backgrounds who are denied their basic rights every moment in several spheres of lives.

Right Track started its work in the late 80s as a group of local youths in Mominpore got together to fight against local corruption.It has gradually started working on education, health care, vocational training, women’s empowerment, youth development and advocacy for promotion of basic human rights. The objective is to facilitate the process towards building a civil society through collective action, participation and community based intiatives. The organisation strives to reach out to the street and working children, domestic child labour, trafficked children, children involved in begging and adolescent youth. While, violence against women & girls are a cross cutting issue.

It has also extended the intervention areas in 10 districts of West Bengal, in 2009 to 2015, with the district partners for advocacy to address the issue of education, PDS, violence against women, as human rights;
